There are a number of elections underway this autumn, and while the national races are dominating our commercials and social media ads, a local election in Sleepy Hollow also deserves our attention.
Village trustee candidates Meghan Raderstrong and Rodolphe Boulanger have demonstrated a sustained commitment to our community through civic involvement, volunteer service, and willingness to contribute their time and energy to local causes. Rather than limiting their involvement to election season, they have shown up, participated, listened, and worked alongside fellow residents to help strengthen the community in different ways.
Meghan is a volunteer ambulance driver for the Sleepy Hollow Ambulance Corps and a class parent at our local schools. One of her highest priorities is “connecting residents to our local service institutions.” After moving to our newest neighborhood, Edge-on-Hudson, Rodolphe has jumped right into Village life as a member of the Village’s parking committee. He envisions a unified Sleepy Hollow, and hopes to “build connections across the entire Village community’s barriers – physical, language, or otherwise – to drive volunteerism and engagement.”
Their commitment to Sleepy Hollow reflects a genuine interest in our Village's future and the residents who call it home. Meghan and Rodolphe have demonstrated that they are willing to roll up their sleeves and contribute in ways that benefit us all. Their civic engagement is particularly relevant for a local Village government like ours, where effective leadership often depends as much on listening and collaboration as it does on policy.
Meghan and Rodolphe are more than just candidates; they are your neighbors whom you can rely on to guide our Village in a fair and equitable way, to be reliable stewards of our Village’s finances, and active thought partners for the issues we face, no matter how big or small.
In solidarity,
Sleepy Hollow Democratic Committee
